Piano masterclass with Alexander and Siavush Gadjiev
Festival Prečkanja - Sconfinamenti offers also piano masterclasses with top-level artists and pedagogues. In 2024, two master classes are taking place: Alexander Gadjiev and his father, the renowned pedagogue Siavush Gadjiev, will lead a piano masterclass, and the second masterclass led by Noam Sivan, a world-renowned pioneer of classical improvisation, will be dedicated to improvisation in classical music.
The international masterclass led by piano virtuoso and GO!2025 ambassador Alexander Gadjiev and his father, renowned music pedagogue, former professor at the Moscow Conservatory, Siavush Gadjiev, will take place from July 25–31 2024. In the spirit of borderlessness, the first part of the masterclass (July 25–29) will take place in Trgovski dom in Gorica (IT), and the second (July 30–31) in the Great Hall of the Slovenian Philharmonic in Ljubljana (SI).
"Combining master classes and festivals has several advantages," explains Alexander Gadjiev. "One of the most important ones is that it gives participating students a direct insight into the development of their artistic career and an oportunity to meet established musicians. At the same time, placing the festival in a youth context also adds value for participating artists, as it breathes an atmosphere of liveliness and vitality, which is not always found in such contexts."
The masterclass, which takes place on stage, is open to the public and free for visitors.
The participants of the masterclass will present themselves at three concerts within the framework of the Festival Prečkanja - Sconfinamenti:
